The JD sets began life in 2002 and have since established the reputation for delivering the hottest bands on their way up. During its six year history, the JD Set has played host to artists such as The Wombats, CSS, Kate Nash, Hot Club de Paris, Futureheads, The Courteeners, Editors, Maximo Park, Team Waterpolo and Foals.

Furthermore, The JD Set Unsigned gives bands the chance to come to a secret location in London for a series of master classes with leading industry experts and dedicated intensive rehearsal time, culminating in a private showcase gig for invited guests and press. The competition allows the chance for six bands from around the UK to be selected for a series of exclusive workshops giving bands a unique sight into the UK music industry.
